Sana Raees Khan is one of the most reputed and credible advocates in the country and her body of work speaks for itself. She’s an expert when it comes to handling complex legal matters and no wonder, she’s more often than not the go-to person for the who’s who of this country.
Well, once again,Khan has proven her credibility and mettle as she managed to emerge victorious in the infamous Bhiwandi building collapse case where she was representing the builder Indrapal Patil. The case took Maharashtra by storm when it took place last year and ever since then, builder Indrapal Patil had been bearing the brunt big time as an accused.
However, Khan, with her vast pool of experience and ability to treat complex matters has ensured that he gets relief in the case. Adv Sana Raees Khan argued that the applicant had no role in the incident of the building collapse. The allegations of the prosecution that the building was constructed sans permission of the planning authority is not correct.
In fact, the building was constructed with the prior permission of the Grampanchayat Val, Tal. Bhiwandi. Even the mobile tower was installed on the terrace of the building after obtaining the stability certificate from the consulting structural engineer.
Sana Raees Khan further argued that the inquiry conducted by the Government revealed that the building collapsed as excess goods were stored in the said building beyond its capacity, for which the applicant was not responsible. Khan further argued that no Intention or Knowledge can be imputed to the Applicant to attract the provision of culpable homicide.
Given the fact that almost everyone had written off the builder’s chances in the case, Sana’s big and thumping victory sends out a message loud and clear that she’s truly one of the best in the country at present. Here’s wishing her many more accolades going forward in her career. Stay tuned for more updates.
