About Waigaon Turmeric
Waigaon Turmeric, native to the Waigaon region of Wardha district in Maharashtra, is a Gl-tagged turmeric variety distinguished by its high curcumin content (6-12%), rich aroma, and deep golden color. Cultivated traditionally without the use of harmful chemicals, this turmeric thrives in the region’s fertile black cotton soil, making it a symbol of purity and sustainability.
Its high curcumin concentration gives Waigaon Turmeric powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-carcinogenic properties. It has long been used in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine to:
Boost immunity and overall wellness
Support liver and digestive health
Manage joint pain and arthritis
Aid in healing wounds and skin conditions
Improve respiratory health and reduce symptoms of colds and infections
With rising global demand for natural and wellness-driven products, Waigaon Turmeric stands out as a premium export for the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and organic food sectors, combining heritage with health benefits.

The event seeks to educate attendees through live demos, wellness talks, and panel discussions on turmeric’s role in health and wellness. Enhanced media coverage and influencer participation further amplify awareness and create strong brand visibility for Waigaon Turmeric in global wellness markets.
The procurement of turmeric is conducted through three Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) based in Waigaon. These FPCs work directly with local farmers to ensure the supply of high-quality, Gl-tagged Waigaon Turmeric. By sourcing from these community-based organizations, the process supports farmers’ livelihoods, promotes sustainable cultivation practices, and maintains the authenticity and traceability of the turmeric used in all related products.
