On the day of election for Lok Sabha seat in Nagpur, when people reached the voting booths to vote, they found that either their names were not in the list or there was some mistake in their names. For this reason, lakhs of people had to return home without voting. On this issue, former Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde handed over the responsibility to the District Magistrate and ordered to improve the voter list in time.
On Tuesday, Krishna Khopade along with some other BJP leaders requested the District Officer regarding the voter list to make improvements in it.
According to Krishna Khopde, due to irregularities in the voter list, more than 5 lakh people were deprived of their voting rights. Therefore, legal action must be taken against those responsible for this. Along with this, the voter list should definitely be corrected before the assembly elections to be held in October.
